Memories of BBC

Tom Yarrow, Old Collegian 2018

“The most valuable lesson I learnt during my time at BBC was to be confident and always give things a go.

There are times when you may fail at something you attempt to do. Use failure as an indication of what you need to do to improve in the future. Failure often turns out to be your biggest success.

My teachers were always there to help me throughout my time at the College. The enthusiastic attitude displayed by all teachers made learning fun, and also brought an exciting atmosphere to the classroom. Furthermore, teachers at BBC will always make time to help you if you are ever struggling in a particular subject.

I don’t miss the assignments or exams, but I do miss being around the boys in the Green, White and Black.

BBC has such a unique and supportive environment, where everyone supports, encourages and looks out for each other. I encourage all younger boys to embrace this type of environment as they progress through their years at the College.”
