This traditional Christian service comprises of nine Biblical readings, recounting the story of Jesus Christ coming to Earth. Each reading is followed by a corresponding Carol which provides a musical reflection on the Biblical text. Nine Lessons and Carols originated in England in 1918 and is conducted around the world every year as a reverent Christmas Service.

This year at BBC, this spiritual event was coordinated by Mr Thomas McPherson, Associate Chaplain with music performed by Camerata, conducted by Mr Dominic Fitzgerald and accompanied by Dr Rachel Hocking.
