NAPLAN

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an Australia-wide series of standardised tests conducted yearly for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9 to track ongoing development in the core academic areas of Reading, Writing, Grammar and Punctuation, and Numeracy.

BBC consistently outperforms the nationwide average in all testing areas across all year levels.

Is it possible to fail NAPLAN?

Not at all. Not only that, but NAPLAN has no impact on a child’s overall academic result.

It is important for children and parents to know that NAPLAN is not a pass-or-fail test. From the perspective of the College and educational authorities, NAPLAN testing provides important data for schools to review and reflect on the efficacy of teaching and learning programs.

What are BBC’s NAPLAN results?

BBC’s most recent NAPLAN results are for the 2024 round of testing. A comparison between our results and the average national score reveals the significant positive impact of a BBC education.
