Intellectual Activities

BBC’s co-curricular intellectual activities offer a valuable way for boys to extend themselves and strengthen the skills they have fostered during class time. These activities play a key role in our efforts to provide every boy with a robust, three-dimensional educational experience.

What co-curricular intellectual activities are available at BBC?

BBC offers five co-curricular intellectual activities for students. Several of these are also included in the GPS Competition. In alphabetical order, they are:

  • Chess (GPS)
  • Debating (GPS)
  • Literature Club
  • Robotics Club
  • STEM Club

What is the GPS Competition?

The annual GPS Competition is one of the nation’s most competitive schoolboy sports tournaments. It is organised and run by the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland (GPS), of which BBC is a founding member. Our teams perform at the highest levels and have a long history of premiership wins across a broad spectrum of activities.
