Welcome to Brisbane Boys’ College – a school that has been educating “gentlemen of honour” since 1902. It is our aspiration that every boy will thrive through the lens of a BBC education.
BBC is an exceptional school that is built on wonderful traditions and history. For 124 years, the College has developed men who have gone on to make a positive impact on our world. I feel so proud to help continue that legacy, as part of a vibrant and passionate community.
Here at BBC, we provide quality teaching and learning that inspires and challenges our young men, provided by dedicated, hard-working and gifted teachers who build powerful working relationships with their students. Our BBC Pedagogical Framework lies at the nucleus of our educational philosophy. We place the boy at the centre of this philosophy.
BBC students are afforded the opportunity to display their prodigious talents not only at the local but on national and international stages.
We focus on using data and the latest in educational research to unlock the potential in each student. Above all else we fully know our students with which we are privileged to work each day.
Our young men enjoy an extensive co-curricular program providing them opportunities within a broad range of sports, cultural, club and service activities, so that every boy can participate, grow, be challenged, and ultimately excel. BBC students are afforded the opportunity to display their prodigious talents not only at the local but on national and international stages.
Our boarding program provides facilities for students from Years 7 to 12, offering a unique opportunity for boys to meet friends from around Australia and the world, as they develop confidence, character, and independence with support from an inclusive connected community. As an Australian Boarding School Association Gold Standard school, we pride ourselves of providing the very best of care for our students.
At the heart of all our achievements is our bespoke Tartan+ Wellbeing Program that looks to support our boys as they grow into young men ready to take on the world. This program provides the expertise of Year Level leaders who are well versed in the developmental issues of the students in their care combined with the House System providing our boys with a family within the school with which to grow and become part of the College. These important pillars are surrounded by experts such as our nurses, counsellors and learning diversity teachers who strengthen our wellbeing focus. This model ensures that each young man is known and nurtured during his time at BBC.
As a BBC student, your son will have the opportunity to share in all that the College has to offer, preparing him to thrive and succeed in higher education and in their chosen careers.
It is my hope that you discover our unique spirit for yourself and invite you to speak with our friendly admissions team today, to learn how your son can thrive at BBC.
I look forward to getting to know you and sharing in your BBC journey as a future member of our college community.
