Ms Amelia Apogremiotis joined Brisbane Boys’ College in 2006, bringing with her a breadth of experience from both the international education system and the Queensland state system. Since then, she has made meaningful contributions to the life of the College through various leadership roles, including Acting Head of Middle School, Peer Mentor Coordinator, Acting Head of House, and Director of Chess, before assuming the role of Head of Secondary School. In each of these roles, Ms Apogremiotis has cultivated a culture of collaboration, care, and high expectations among students, staff, and families.

With over two decades of teaching experience across Australia and internationally, Ms Apogremiotis combines her extensive knowledge of education with a strong foundation in educational research. Most recently, she contributed to Monash University’s Q Project School Advisory Group and advised on the book Understanding the Quality Use of Research Evidence in Education: What It Means to Use Research Well, supporting the use of evidence in schools to improve outcomes. 

Her expertise in curriculum design, educational research, data-informed practice, and positive psychology underpins her approach to empowering students to thrive. She is committed to nurturing an environment where each learner feels valued and equipped to succeed.
