Head of Junior School

Mrs Summa Todd commenced as Head of Junior School at Brisbane Boys’ College in January 2023, bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience in Queensland schools with her. Since joining BBC, she has led a number of key initiatives focused on staff development, student wellbeing, and evidence-informed teaching practices, with a strong focus on building a nurturing and high-performing learning culture. 

Mrs Todd is committed to developing confident, compassionate boys who are inspired by all aspects of their school life. She has strengthened the Junior School’s leadership and wellbeing programs, championed inclusive practices, and fostered strong partnerships between home and school to support each student’s personal growth. 

Prior to joining BBC, Mrs Todd served as Deputy and Acting Principal at Wilston State School, one of Queensland’s top-performing primary schools. She is known for her ability to build collaborative teams, empower educators, and drive school-wide improvement. 

With an enthusiasm for co-curricular involvement, Mrs Todd actively encourages boys to engage in life beyond the classroom. A passionate advocate for student voice, she believes the early years of schooling play a powerful role in shaping future learners and leaders who will contribute positively to the world.
