It is recognised that each student will be at a different point in his faith journey. We take a personalised approach and recognise that each individual will develop an awareness of his own spirituality in a way unique to him.

Christian ethos

As a church school, the Christian ethos is evident in the culture, teachings and life of Brisbane Boys' College as we seek to reflect the life of Christ in all that we do. The College Chaplain oversees a program of Christian Education both in the classroom and in regular worship assemblies and from these Christian foundations arise the College’s expectation that each student, guided by staff in both principle and example, aims to achieve the best standard of which he is capable in all areas.

Spiritual life

Students are encouraged to be actively involved in the spiritual life of the College and to personally grow as they are nurtured in spiritual matters. All students are encouraged to participate in the worship component of weekly assemblies, which includes a hymn, bible reading, short sermon and prayer, a House or year level Chapel service (Middle and Senior Schools) held each term and Christian Education classes for boys in Prep to Year 10, with students in Years 11 and 12 involved in the Life and Belief Issues program.

Boys also have an opportunity to join the Interschool Christian Fellowship Core or year level Connect groups as well as service groups such as Interact or Amnesty International. Boarders also have the opportunity to attend an evening voluntary chapel service each week.
