“Why do we need a community talk on building happy and resilient children? Simple – the journey from childhood through to young adulthood seems to have become so much harder to navigate,” Dr Michael Carr-Gregg.

“Just when a young person’s identity and sense of self is at its most fragile, they are facing more potential rejection and judgement courtesy of social media, than even the most robust of egos could handle,” he said.

“Like never before, as parents, carers and other adults we need the skills, knowledge and strategies to promote resilience in young people.”
