All In - We are stronger together

The BBC of today is a modern and dynamic, leading Australian school, inspired by the mission of our Founder, Mr Arthur (Barney) Rudd, and based firmly on the critical role we believe education plays in empowering young people to take control of their lives and make a positive contribution to society.

The College, in conjunction with the BBC Foundation, is committed to perpetuating this vision and your support ensures that BBC is everything it can be, for every boy.

Each year the College turns to our community to join with us and support our Annual Giving. This year, our Annual Giving centres around being All in’, aligning with the Year 12 leadership challenge to the wider student body.

The buildings and facilities, from which generations of Collegians have benefited, are almost entirely the result of the generosity of BBC families and Old Boys who have gone before. Income from fees alone cannot provide the financial basis for development, and so the College relies on the generosity of the community to support its aims and help bring its long-term goals to fruition.

Through the College’s various bursary programs, philanthropy has also opened the gates to a BBC education for many boys who would otherwise be unable to attend the school – for those in our Indigenous communities, for the ‘boys from the bush’ and those boys whose parents do not have the means to fund a Brisbane Boys’ College education. Likewise, our focus on campus upgrades will reap rewards for all boys, now and in the future. We have been continually encouraged by the generosity of the BBC family’s desire to continue these traditions.

Our plans for BBC continue to be ambitious and, to reach our goals, we need our community standing side by side – ‘All in’.

I encourage you to support our 2019 Annual Giving program to help us do more this year. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a positive and immediate difference.

To find out more information about our 2019 Annual Giving program, or for a confidential discussion regarding your gift, please contact the Head of Advancement, Peter Franks, on (07) 3309 3764 or email pfranks@bbc.qld.edu.au.

We are incredibly grateful for the contribution our community makes each year and we thank you in advance for your continued support.

Yours sincerely

Paul Brown
