Parents and Friends

The Parents and Friends' Association supports the College in providing exceptional educational facilities and experiences for students. In particular it provides parents with an opportunity to play an active role in their son's education and strengthens the link between the College and the wider community.

The association undertakes social and fundraising activities for the benefit of students and represents the wider parent body on various decision making committees within the school. They are also responsible for the Tuckshop and College Shop which are run on a voluntary basis.

Support Groups

Parent Support Groups work in partnership with the association enabling parents to work with the teaching staff in supporting the activities in which their sons participate. Members of Support Groups organise a number of fundraising and social events, all intended to provide additional facilities for the students of the College.

Junior School Support Group

The primary role of the Junior School Support Group is to support the work of the Junior School. The group raise funds for Junior School initiatives and assist with book covering, providing extra help for excursions, activities and assisting with sporting events. They also run a class representative network of parents.

Middle School Support Group

A Middle School Support Group was established to provide communication between the Middle School and parents. They also assist with the transition from Junior to Middle School and raise the profile of the Middle School among the College community.

BBC Parent Connections

This group provides opportunities for parents to foster friendships in the BBC parent community through a range of organised events. The group meets regularly with the Headmaster and key members of staff to share information and ideas. Care and Concern is a sub group of volunteers who work with the College Chaplain to provide practical assistance to many members of the school community in times of need.

Parent Connections also liaise with the wider parent body through the House Representatives program. The nine houses at BBC each have parent representatives who are a point of contact for other parents whose sons are in the same house and year level. These reps can give you advice on day-to-day school matters and put you in touch with other families to arrange sporting transport.
