BBC Library takes the school statement of "Success for every boy" and adds, "A library for every boy". Your son's education is important to our Library and to the Library Team. Boys need the opportunity to express themselves as young men, to develop and showcase their various talents and to explore their own identity. At BBC, we challenge and engage our students by establishing strong relationships between the Library and the wider BBC Community, including our staff and parents.

The Head of Information Services and the Teacher Librarian work closely with BBC Teaching Staff to continually improve learning opportunities for your son.

We offer:-

  • Integration of subjects with common themes, for example, Endangered Species becomes a common theme across your son's SOSE, Science and English classes
  • Differentiation of units of work in order to challenge and engage your son, whatever his cognitive ability
  • Providing a wide range of extra content using different media, to complement units of work undertaken by your son
  • A Collection which provides a variety of resources targeted at different abilities
  • Working with teachers to cater for multiple learning styles
  • A variety of learning environments within the Library
  • Access to cutting edge technology within the Library
  • Displays of student work
  • Pastoral care ongoing at all times
