About the Support Group

The Support Group was established with the aim to provide assistance to the College rowing program. The BBC boatshed is a happy shed and all the members of the parent body should be proud of this atmosphere. Parents are always welcome in the shed, whether dropping off, picking up, helping out, or just having a chat! We encourage you to talk to others and don’t hesitate to ask one of the committee if there is anything we can help you with.

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday each month during school terms, at 7:00pm in the College Room at BBC. All parents are encouraged to join the Association, as this places you on the mailing list for minutes of our meetings and other functions of the rowing family.

Social and Fund Raising Events

We have a variety of social and fund raising activities to raise funds for equipment for the boat shed.
The Support Group organises the following events:

Your help at any of our functions is always appreciated and no offer of help in organising, setting up, and clearing up is ever refused! Just contact the relevant co-ordinator or any committee member.

Enjoying Regatta Day

Showing your support at the regattas during Term I is one way of perpetuating the atmosphere of the boat shed, and is definitely welcomed by the rowers. Regattas usually start around 8.00am, and the school hosting the regatta provides food and drink for sale on the shoreline.

Don’t forget your hat, chair, sunscreen, and binoculars.
