Access

Our program caters for primary school children from Prep to Year 7, however we are able to provide care for early high school age children if child care places are available.  BBC students and boys and girls from outside the College are welcome to attend.

Enrolment

Families are required to complete an enrolment form to be eligible to use the service. Contact us for an enrolment pack.

Bookings

To assist with staffing and catering we prefer that bookings are made the Friday prior to the week of care during Before and After School Care, and by commencement of the Vacation Care program.
Places may be limited and will be filled on a ‘first in first served’ basis.
Bookings can be made by telephone or email, or by completing a “Booking & Payment” envelope and returning it to our room or the Junior School office.

Fees

Rates tabled in our Fee Schedule apply to bookings made PRIOR to the day of attendance.

A ‘casual’ surcharge is payable for bookings made on the day of attendance.

Fees are payable in advance or on the day of attendance.

Fees can be paid by EFTPOS, credit card over the telephone, cheque, cash or via our direct deposit account (Suncorp Bank – BSB: 484 799 Account: 002 868 415).

Bookings will be removed and no subsequent fees charged if notice is received the day prior during Before and After School Care programs.  During Vacation Care, credit of fees is at the discretion of the Coordinator once the program has commenced.  Failure to provide the required notice will result in an “absent” booking and applicable care fees will be charged.

Child Care Benefit Subsidy

Child Care Benefit (CCB)is a payment from the Family Assistance Office (FAO) made to families to assist with the costs of child care.

Action Factory is an approved Child Care Provider and is able to administer CCB subsidy to families using our service.  The rate of CCB families are entitled to is based on their annual income.  As there is no income “cut-out point”, all eligible families (families that meet the Australian residence requirements and are living in Australia) are entitled to at least the minimum rate of Child Care Benefit.

Families can choose to receive CCB as reduced child care fees or as a lump sum payment at the end of the financial year.  To claim reduced fees, please complete the enclosed form.  Families who have received CCB previously, or have already made an application, can contact the FAO and advise them of our provider numbers.

Provider numbers

-> Combined Before/After School Care                407 130 706L

-> Vacation Care                                                  407 130 715J

We recommend families advise the FAO of both CRNs even if children are currently only attending one program i.e. after school care but not vacation care or before school care.  This will ensure that claims are processed correctly in the event they use the other service.

Families not wishing to receive Child Care Benefit as reduced fees will still be required to have a Customer Reference Number (CRN) so that attendance information can be submitted to the Family Assistance Office periodically.  This will assist with lump sum claims at the end of the financial year.  We will request this CRN on behalf of families
