Our mission

Our mission is to provide the highest quality care for school age children in a safe, stable and relaxed environment. We are committed to establishing and maintaining effective and supportive working relationships with families, the school, and community. We strive to offer a professional and cost-effective service and ensure continuity of management.

Our structure

Action Factory is operated by a private company under agreement with the College. We opened in January 2004 to meet the demand by school families and the wider community for outside school hours care. Although we are an independent body, management and staff work closely with school personnel to ensure the highest quality of care for children.

The services is licensed under State Legislation and is an approved childcare provider through the Australian Government Department of Family and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. Action Factory is registered with the National Childcare Accreditation Council to undergo Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance.

The Coordinator is accountable for day-to-day operations, however full responsibility lies with the Licensee. Our management and staff welcome the sharing of people's skills, ideas and resources, and encourage parent/guardian input and feedback on a daily basis by promoting an "open-door" policy.

Our staff

We recognise the quality and success of the program depends entirely on the ability and attitude of our staff. Maintaining a diverse range of people is also essential to ensure children's individual needs are met.

All paid staff and volunteers hold a current Blue Card i.e. deemed suitable to work with children by the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian.

Staff are required to hold the necessary qualifications or be in the process of gaining them to work in the centre. All staff hold a current first aid and CPR certificate.
